Video of the Week: Call Me Maybe by Carly Rae Jepsen – Feat. Justin Bieber, Selena, Ashley Tisdale & company

This song isn’t quite as cheesy as the title makes it seem. This video, which trumps that of the original song in view count, features all of the billed artists running around making a huge fool of themselves while lip synching to this year’s bubblegum pop hit.

Upon first listen, this song by Carly Rae Jepsen sounds extremely annoying. However, with more exposure, the song slowly grows on listeners.

The lyrics are semi-ridiculous, but incredibly catchy. The video itself is hilarious in a carefree way, featuring bananas, mustaches and celebrities acting like average teens.

The video has already received over 33,000,000 hits in the past month and the phenomenon has yet to die down among Beliebers everywhere. Many parody videos have been created, and even some contests have started as to which group can create the best music video to match the caliber of this Video of the Week. Soon enough, everyone in America will be singing this hit.
