“My mom didn’t want me to go to school; she wanted me to stay in the house.” Senior Nandi Walcott (Network Academy)
“I remember not really going to school. [I remember] my mother telling me not to go and my father calling and said not to go because around that time I lived near there.”- Senior Raquel Poindexter (Ashburton Elementary)
“I remember all the radio warnings about [people] getting shot at on the highway. I also remember I was on a camp out at the time when we got news that the sniper had gotten caught and everyone was really relieved.” -Sophomore Jeffery Becker (Lucy V. Barnsley)
“They wouldn’t really tell us what was happening. They wanted our parents to tell us.” – Senior Michelle Barreto (Luxmanor Elementary)
