Simple and Easy Gift Ideas: Mother’s Day

Every year, many struggle to find the perfect gift for the woman who does it all: Mom. With Mother’s Day fast approaching, many are in search of the perfect last minute gift. Luckily, The Pitch Online is here to help out, with a compiled list of great gifts to present your mother with this Mother’s Day- that don’t necessarily have to be last-minute.

1. The way to please the sweetest woman in your life is through her sweet tooth! Edible fruit bouquets are both visually appealing and tasty. Ediblearrangements.com sells different Mother’s Day bouquets that incorporate fruits such as chocolate-covered strawberries, apples, pineapple, grapes and more. The most affordable package available on this particular website is $40 for the “Lovely Daisy” option, which includes grapes, honeydew wedges, kale, pineapple hearts and strawberries.

2. Another bouquet option to consider is the classic flowers-in-a-vase. Bloomnation.com allows users to create custom bouquets, or order bouquets designed by other users. Customers can pick their delivery day from options including same-day delivery, and the site will ship them. Bouquets range in price, but some can be as low as $55 and as expensive as $545.

3. For those concerned about spending too much money on a present, homemade gifts may be the way to go. Mom and music teacher Kelly Butler already knows what she will be getting this Mother’s Day- flowers made by her two-year-old daughter, with help from Grandma, out of egg cartons, buttons and paint.

“I think the best part about Mother’s Day is just…spending time with your kids,” said Butler. “Going out to breakfast…having a picnic, you know, just doing something with your actual kids.”

4. One option to help your mom feel glamorous is a gift card for a free salon blowout. The Drybar salon, with locations in Bethesda and Georgetown, offers a “Hot Mama” coaster card that is redeemable for a free blowout for $40.

5. Another way to help your always-on-the-go mother unwind is with a massage. Massage Envy, located in Bethesda, allows customers to create custom gift cards online. The lowest price option is a card worth $75.

Regardless of what gift you give them for Mother’s Day, most moms will be happy with whatever they receive and appreciate the effort you put in.
