Snowboarder Shaun White, "The Flying Tomato," unleashes his new trick known as the Double McTwist 1260.  The trick, which White pioneered, involves two flips and three and a half rotations and earned White an unbelievable score of 46.8 points out of a possible 50. This is White's second gold medal, following his win in the Torino Olympic Games of 2006.

Junior forward Vinnie Peratrovich skates towards an easy 4-2 victory over the Blair Blazers in the WJ season opener.

 The WJ Tech classes made 45 spinning tops, 17 big race cars, 22 small race cars, 22 trucks, 18 dinosaurs, and 22 rubber band cars to donate to local charities.  The toys were hand-made by students to give as presents during the holiday season to children in the D.C. area.

Despite a close 19-21 loss to Poolesville, seniors Matt Wojnar, Sam Coe, Greg Karel, Daniel Kirwan, Colin Buley, Kevin Spak, Nolan Hopkins, Sheng Fan and Martin Dally show off their spirit with the WJ Homecoming Game's "blackout" theme by painting "Wildcats" on themselves. Also, senior class vice-president Andres Rocha leads the crowd in cheers in the front row of the student section.
