The state runner-up WJ boys varsity soccer team continues to create a buzz as the players prepare to move on to the next level, including senior defender Pierre Mensah, an All- Met honorable mention and All- State second teamer.
After entertaining interests from numerous schools including University of Cincinnati, University of Delaware and Cornell University, Mensah ultimately decided on a local school, Towson University. Headlining a seven-man 2012 recruiting class, Mensah has become the source of much of Towsons’ excitement. Head coach Frank Olszewski was even quoted on the “TowsonTigers.com” webpage describing Mensah as “the tale for good defenders” and “a two-way player with a huge upside.”
“I’m headed there trying to get a winning season and win the NCAA championship,” said Mensah.
