It's five o'clock on a January morning, and most of us are trying to cram in our last hours of sleep before school starts. But the swim and dive team is submerged in water, training for the upcoming meets. Some would ask: why would anyone want to get up even earlier than we have to?

Score: Boys, 63-108; Girls, 77-94

 

Opponent: Churchill

 

Highlights: Boys - Won 100 meter free, 200 meter IM and 400 meter free relay. Girls - Won 200 meter IM, 100 meter free and 500 meter free.


MVP: Senior Andrew Tollefson won both the 100 meter free and the 200 meter individual Medley.

 

Record: Boys, 2-2; Girls, 1-3

 

Next Meet: Against Sherwood at the Montgomery Aquatic Center, Saturday, Feb. 6 starting at 9:15 a.m.

Score: Boys, 81-90. Girls, 80-91

Opponent: Wootton

Highlights: The scores were close and it all came down to the last relay, but the WJ team still could not take the lead.

MVP: Swim - Junior Elizabeth Pepper, who won two events and had some of the fastest times in the country in those events.
Dive - Sophomore Annie Kastler maintained her county record in diving by staying undefeated.

Record: Boys 2-1, Girls 1-2

Next Meet: Against Churchill at Germantown Indoor Swim Club, Jan. 30 at 11:30 a.m.
