Good Munchies: Choice D.C. Area Eate

What: Ray’s Hell Burger
Where: 1713 Wilson Blvd., Arlington, V.A. 22209
Price Range: $11-30
Description: Just over the Arlington Memorial Bridge sits a small hamburger shop owned by Chef Michael Landrum, whose Ray’s line of gourmet restaurants have become quite the crowd- pleaser in the suburban D.C. area. Although they don’t make French fries, their burgers make up for the lack of greasy potatoes. If Obama and Biden take the time to stop by for lunch, it must be good.

What: Chop House
Where: 509 7th St. NW, Washington, D.C. 20004
Price Range: $15-25
Description: In the center of DC next to the Verizon Center, sits the Chop House. Here you can find large portions of meat at a reasonable price considering the unbeatable smoky taste. Service tends to be backed up, but it won’t jeopardize the quality of the meal.

What: Matchbox Restaurant
Where: 713 H St. NW, Washington, D.C. 20001
Price Range: $11-30
Description: Not your average pizzeria, Matchbox is a little more high end than similar pizza places like UNO or California Pizza Kitchen. Though it may seem unusual to find a decent pizza place in Chinatown, we guarantee surprise and satisfaction with Matchbox’s New York-style brick oven pizza.
