Fall 2012 TV Preview

Fall 2012 TV Preview

Here are some television shows that are making a comeback and taking over the fall slots for major networks such as ABC, CBS and smaller networks like FX.

 “Grey’s Anatomy”
Season seven of ABC’s “Grey’s Anatomy,” ended with a tragic plane crash that left the audiences wanting to know what’s next for the doctors of Seattle Grace. Season eight is all about life after the tragedy. Some characters will not return to the hospital and some, if not all, of their lives have drastically changed. With Cristina getting a new job in Minnesota and the status of her marriage to Owen still unknown, Meredith and Derek raising their first child, and Mark’s health in serious jeopardy, will these doctors be able to handle saving lives or will the drama be too much for them to manage? Catch-up with the doctors and see how life after the tragedy is treating them, Thursdays at 9 p.m. on ABC.
“2 Broke Girls”
“2 Broke Girls” is returning to CBS for its second season, with more crazy adventures between the two girls. In the first season, viewers were introduced to two girls from two different worlds in New York City. Sam, played by actress Kat Dennings, is a witty and sarcastic waitress trying to survive and pay her bills. Then there’s Caroline, portrayed by Beth Behers, who is a wealthy NYC socialite whose family went broke. Both girls cross each other’s paths and after enduring problems, they  set aside their differences and become roommates, friends and cupcake business partners.  In season two, both girls realize that the cupcake business is no joke and struggle to make money to properly start out their business. Tune in Mondays at 9 p.m. to see if the girls will make enough money and reach their goal of making a successful cupcake business in this witty comedy.
“American Horror Story”
This spooky show is returning to FX for its second season with new actors, including Adam Levine and Jenna Dewan-Tatum, new characters, new plot and a new setting. Season one was all about a haunted house and a broken family trying to pick up the pieces but when some unexpected guests drop by, it makes it challenging for the family to become closer again. Season two is centered around an asylum, with scary nuns, crazy people, haunted children and much more. Be sure to catch up with season one on Netflix and new episodes of the ominous show on Wednesday at 10 p.m. on FX.
“90210”
The Beverly Hills teenagers return with their fifth season on the CW with more drama, and guest stars such as Olympic medalist Ryan Lochte and “Call Me Maybe” singer Carly Rae Jepsen. In season four, viewers were left with Naomi stopping a wedding, Navid and Silver reconnecting, and Liam finding out that his girlfriend is a pathological liar who stole from him. This returning season is all about the characters growing up and finding out what they really want to do with their lives, like Dixon and Adrianna following their musical dreams. Will the struggling couple reach fame? Will Liam sell his bar? Will Navid and Silver really rekindle their love? Find out what’s in store for these Californian teenagers on this season of 90210, Mondays at 8 p.m. on the CW.
Catch up with these interesting shows this fall. Whether it’s the witty comedy, or the ominous drama, these shows are sure to get you hooked.
