Game Of The Week: Tiny and Big
Tiny and Big is truly unique. Though I spent a long time delving through the depths of the internet, I couldn’t find anything else like it.
Tiny and Big is a totally new approach to the platforming genre, allowing you to destroy and move terrain to navigate your way up a massive spire to challenge your enemy, Big, who has stolen an artifact of immense power. The game utilizes items to destroy and modify terrain, including a laser, for cutting things, a grappling hook to pull stuff around, and a rocket launcher to push objects.
The art style is charming and beautiful, and makes the entire game look like a very stylized comic book. The controls are super tight and smooth and the music is fantastic.
The game features multiple ways to solve each puzzle,as well as multiple ways up the spire, meaning each level can be replayed multiple times.
My only complaint is that it’s a little short, but this game has tons of replay value. It is currently availible for PC from tinyandbig.com for $12.99, or for $9.99 on Steam.
