A walk in one of WJ’s neighborhoods proves to be beneficial for health and can be a great way to workout in a group. It’s surprising how much one burns and how well bonds are formed.

When we have a million things on our to-do list, as students, we just try to find what is easy and accessible motioning us toward that free gooey chocolate chip cookie in class or fluorescent vending machines. With just a few mindful tweaks, we can stray away from unhealthy choices-no equipment required.

The idea of staying in shape and having enough time to meet deadlines and complete extracurricular activities can seem intimidating, but it doesn’t have to be. A great way to make sure you get everything done is by practicing “exercising snacking,” which encourages short, yet often bouts of physical activity.

Regardless of how much you get done, do you always seem to be in a pinch? Preparing your favorite overnight oatmeal, eggs, and even packing your favorite fruit and veg the night before school is a great way to save time in the morning. Or even setting a reminder on your phone to drink more water. So in case your life is completely out of order, at least your health doesn’t have to be.

Remember, at the end of the day, we’re all humans who make mistakes. Remaining focused on our goals and not comparing ourselves to others will improve our inner health so our exterior health can shine.
