WJ has plenty of talented people. We have great sports teams, an incredible drama program in the form of WJ S*T*A*G*E, and an amazing school newspaper. But what about WJTV? The people responsible for making the morning announcements every day receives hardly any recognition from the student body, unless their teachers force them to watch at the beginning of second period.
However, sophomore Sasha Sibley, a cameraman for WJTV, and self proclaimed cinematographer, is using his talents to make short movies. One such example is “Ringtone” a suspense-thriller centered around a disasterous camping trip. Sibley wrote, directed and filmed the movie himself.
The camerawork is awesome , and you would never guess that the guy behind the lens is just a sophomore. The video is currently listed to be realesed on YouTube on Halloween night, but the trailer is right here. So check it out, and get ready for “Ringtone’s” full release on Oct. 31.
