Golf: Sept. 14 Loss

Things didn’t get any easier for the golf team at Little Bennett Golf Course on Monday, as they lost two of their three matches to Damascus (225-215) and B-CC (225-218).  The team did find little success in beating Blake, the first team that they’ve beaten this season. Junior Alex Marquez hasn’t given up hope on his team, a team that he thinks can still win.

“Although we’ve had a tough start to the season, I believe that there’s a great possibility that we’re a contender this season,” said Marquez.

Yet, senior Sam Coe still acknowledges the team’s need for improvement.

“The team needs to stay away from high scores on a few holes, and not take chances that could potentially add unnecessary strokes to our score,” said Coe.

The team’s next match is today, Sept.16, against Whitman, Wootton and Blake at Laytonsville Golf Course.
