Varsity Girls Volleyball: Sept. 15, 3-0

Girls Volleyball continued their successful streak yesterday at home with a 3-0 defeat of Springbrook. The first set ended up a close 25-20, the second an outstanding 25-11, and the third 25-16.

The team’s offense was fierce throughout all three games, the girls working together to pull off 12 kills, 8 of these made by senior captain Anna Elder amd freshman Stephanie Paul and junior Jennie Zelenko each hit 4 aces.

Defense was also fierce, with 6 digs from senior captain Kathy Pao and 6 blocks from freshman Kristen Larrick.

The previous year, Abby was the first online editor-in-chief, and was also a copy editor during her sophomore and junior years. She is excited to be involved with the up-and-coming Pitch Online and help bring news to the WJ community in a faster, more innovative way. Although she does not know where she is going to school yet, Abby will be entering college as a journalism major next year.
