Tom Brady, the undisputed GOAT of football, retired on February 1, 2022 after dominating in the NFL for 22 seasons. Brady originally retired to be able to commit to spending more time with his family. This was no surprise for anybody considering the fact that he is currently 44 years old and already won a ring in Tampa, as well as multiple in New England. But, he got bored of his retirement life quickly after he announced it.

“It will be historical if Brady wins another ring with the Bucs this year,” junior Braden LaChapelle said.

Brady would be the first-ever NFL player to win a ring after retirement if he takes home the Lombardi next February.

Tom Brady announced on social media that he will return for his 23rd season in the league with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers a couple weeks ago. This was quite odd considering he was only retired for about 2 months, but he realized that football is still his top priority and is still hungry for another ring to add to his collection.

“Tom Brady is the oldest player to win in a Super Bowl and he will hopefully break his own record in the 2022/23 season,” junior Nik Avillo said.

Brady holds the all-time NFL marks for completions, attempts, passing yards and passing touchdowns. At this point in Brady’s career, he is not trying to break anybody else’s records; he is just trying to beat his own.

The Buccaneers did not only improve from signing Brady. They also signed Russel Gage who was formerly a wide receiver from the Atlanta Falcons. This adds another solid piece to the weapons for Brady.

Adding on to the Buccaneers’ offseason moves, Bruce Arians resigned as head coach and Todd Bowles was promoted to fill Arians’ position after being their defensive coordinator last season.

The Bucs have the clear edge over every team in the NFC South because of the return of Tom Brady along with their other offseason moves.
