WJ Football suffers injuries in game vs. Richard Montgomery

WJ+Football+suffers+injuries+in+game+vs.+Richard+Montgomery

Thursday was a heartbreaking day for WJ football, as two players  suffered injuries  in the 38-7 game against Richard Montgomery and will be out for a significant amount of time.

Senior running back Nathan Oyeniyi and senior captain center Brian Williams suffered long term injuries during the game. Williams suffered a torn ACL, and Oyeniyi suffered a torn hamstring. Williams is out for the season with his injury, while Oyeniyi is out for an indefinite amount of time.

There was also a  minor injury to their sophomore star quarterback Josh Forburger, who suffered a torn rotator cuff. Forburger should be back to start the next game against BCC next Friday, but it could affect his performance. Forburger is second in Montgomery County in passing yards, and WJ needs him in the back field to help win games.

WJ and BCC both have a 2-3 record, and are fourth in the 4A division.
