GOT releases new season on HBO

GOT+releases+new+season+on+HBO

Warning, spoilers ahead!!!!!!

Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you know the final season of Game of Thrones has premiered. This show is one of the most popular programs on television and has an extremely passionate fanbase. It has been two years since the last episode of season seven premiere, so the long anticipated winter is finally here.

“I have waited so long for this season, I can’t believe it’s finally here!” senior Jordan Berkman said.

The slogan of this season is “#FortheThrone” which brings up the long debate of who will win the throne at the end. After the mindblowing season seven finale, it was revealed that Jon is a Targaryen, and the heir to the Iron throne. He hasn’t found this out yet, which is why he bent his knee to Dany (another Targaryen who wants the throne). In season eight, Jon has to find out his past and decide if he still wants to follow Dany.

They aren’t the only two wanting the throne. Ruthless Cersei is willing to do whatever it takes to keep the throne. However, she isn’t the only one Jon and Dany need to worry about.

Some fans want other characters to win the throne.

“Sansa best win the throne,” sophmore Callie metzman said.

Winter is here, and so are the army of the wights. The north has to prepare for their big fight against the Night King. Most characters in the show have joined the starks in Winterfell to fight this battle.

This being the final season, a lot of characters are expected to die. Fans are anxiously awaiting the deaths of the most loved characters, while excited to see who actually wins the throne. Will it be who we expected? Or will no one get the throne?
