According to Statista, roughly 54 million metric tons of electronic waste were generated worldwide in 2019. “It’s important that proper e-waste disposal is publicized. At school, we have plastic recycling bins all over the place. But we can also have recycling bins down near the cafeteria or something specifically for batteries,” technology teacher Kevin Daney said.
