  • SHAPE IT! Junior Birch Robinson uses a potter’s wheel in her ceramics class to make a small bowl for her friend. She made a chip and dip bowl by carving out the shape and making the edges smoother. “I’m making a chip and dip bowl for Seren because she likes guacamole,” Robinson said.

  • ALMOST DONE! Senior Adena Nielsen comes back after graduation to her ceramics class to finish painting her bowl that she made for a class project. She painted the inside of the bowls a orange color to give it more emphasis and to make it more vibrant. “I think that painting the inside of the bowl will make the little detailing more noticeable,” Nielsen said.

  • COLORFUL. Senior Christie Chen paints her flower which is inspired by a drawing that she’s done. She used a green color to paint the leaves of the flower in order to bring it to life. “I’ve been working on this piece for quite a bit, and I’m almost done, just need to do a couple of coats on the petals and the leaves,” Chen said.

  • CREATIVE. In her digital art photoshop class, Gianna Fryer edits a picture for her inspirational quote project. She added more color to her inspirational quote to make it stand out more. “I was trying to align the words so that they look even on both sides,” Fryer said.

  • STAY CALM AND DRINK TEA. Junior Sasha Ormiston makes small mugs for tea in her ceramics class while using a potter’s wheel. She made a mug for tea to give to one of her friends for their birthday. By using her fingers and water to mold the clay, Ormiston tried to make the outside of the mug as smooth and thin as possible. “ I think that it’s pretty hard to mold clay if you’re making the piece super small such as a tea cup,” Ormiston said.

  • EDITOR! Nella Barrigah edits a photo that she took of a scenery, while in her photography class. Barrigah formatted the picture using an app so that it looks more clear, while also taking unnecessary things out of the background. “I’m just editing a photo for one of our last assignments which was to take a photo of a scenery or background so I chose to do one of a sign,” Barrigah said.

  • SYNC SUBJECTS. Freshman Addison Huggins adds pictures she took to a slideshow for her Spanish class. She edited the pictures by sizing them correctly and making them clearer. “I decided to add pictures from my photography class, to my presentation for spanish so that I could personalize the photo more,” Huggins said.

  • SMOOTH IT OUT. Junior Samantha Bowcut tries to smooth out the clay teapot in her ceramics class. She shaped her teapot for an assignment in ceramics by using water, tools, and her fingers, so that all the sides were even. “I’m making a teapot for my ceramics final project, so that I could give it to my mom,” Bowcut said.
