With a three-way tie for the Division I boys lead, the track team will have to continue to drop times if they expect to become back-to-back champions. As for the girls, their success comes from the 4×800 meter relay, which looks to finish at the top of the counties meet.

The team focused hard to compete in the Penn Relays, which took place on April 23-24.

Junior Martin Dally had a breakout split on his leg of the 4×400 meter relay, ranking him one of the top in the county. Also, in the 4×400 meter relay, the girls finished third in a 16-team heat consisting of sophomores Devon Murtha, Sasha Tycko, Camille Bouvet, and junior Jenna Willet. While the boys relay consisting of, senior Andre Roberts, Dally, sophomore Michael Li and junior Daniel Kirwan finished second of 16 teams.

Although repeating as division I champions is the number one goal for the boys team, 13th year coach Tom Martin continues to remain focused on having fun.

“We try to create an environment where kids get excited about track by displaying our excitement for track,” said Martin.
