Track and Field: Cougar Relays, March 27

Score (1-5 Finishers): Boys – Good Counsel (79), Walter Johnson (53), Richard Montgomery (52), Gaithersburg (51), Quince Orchard (30); Girls – Wootton (72.50), Quince Orchard (41), Leonardtown (40), Clarksburg (36), Walter Johnson (29).

Opponent: Various Maryland private and public schools.

MVP: Boys – Members of the first place 4×800 team (junior Nick Regan, seniors Martin Dally and Sean O’Leary and sophomore Josh Ellis); Girls – Junior Camille Bouvet who shattered her previous mile times and earned a 5:12, the 20th best by a Montgomery County athlete over the last 10 years.

Highlight: The boys team had an impressive showing with second place overall over 15 events, but it was Bouvet on the girls’ side who stole the show with her striking mile time.

Next Meet: Woodward Relays at Georgetown Prep, April 10, 8:30 a.m.
