Prom Guide for Guys

Your prom night may be one of the best nights in your life, as well as one of the most expensive. Here are some tips on how to make the best of your night without completely emptying your wallet.

Dinner
If you are planning to go out for dinner before prom, be sure to call the restaurant a week before and make a reservation. You might also ask them to be timely with the food so that you won’t be late for Prom. Prices in this category can vary greatly, but generally cost can run any where between $15-$25 for a full dinner for one.

Tuxedo
Guys normally wear a tuxedos to prom, but a dark colored suit is also suitable.

Corsage
Most guys buy the corsage for their dates, but some couples pick out the flowers together. Guys should make sure to find out the color of the girls dress so that he doesn’t buy a corsage that clashes.

Photographs

There will usually be a professional photographer at prom to take couple and group shots. If you would like pictures, be prepared to spend $35-$175, or bring your own camera.

Limousine

Riding to prom in a limousine can be extremely fun as well as expensive. If this is what you want, riding in a group of people can be a great way to have a fun ride while keeping the cost low for each individual.
