The NBA playoffs have reached the second round. The big surprise in the first round was a Golden State Warriors victory over Denver Nuggets. Denver was the third seed in the West and were nearly impossible to beat at home during the regular season.
Golden State went into Denver and upended the favorites. Golden State lost their first game in the second round to the San Antonio Spurs in double overtime, but rebounded with a round victory in game two, which has the making of a great series.
The other Western Conference series is the Oklahoma City Thunder vs. Memphis Grizzlies. Russell Westbrook of the Thunder sustained an injury in the first round that knocked him out of the playoffs and it will be up to Kevin Durant & Co. to overcome this devastating injury.
As the second round tipped off in the Eastern Conference, the Miami Heat were supposed to cruise against an injury depleted Chicago Bulls team. The reigning champs were upset on their home court in game one and the Bulls will try to continue their hot play the rest of the series.
The New York Knicks and Indiana Pacers playoff match-up looks like the Clash of the Titans as the best offensive team in the East, the Knicks, look to outshoot the tenacious defense Indiana has to offer.
I believe all the series will go at least six games and at this point in the season the team that has the hot shooting hand will win it all.
