Q: What are your interests outside of school?
A: Hunting. I’m a bow hunter. I like to do fun stuff with my grandchildren, traveling with my wife, carving decoys, like wooden duck decoys.
Q: Do you have any favorite television shows or movies?
A: “Longmire.” It’s a summer replacement show about an old sheriff in Wyoming; it’s very, very good. “The Walking Dead.” I really like the new show, “Sleepy Hollow.” And “Jeopardy.” My wife and I play Jeopardy. My all-time favorite movie is probably a movie no one ever heard of called “Local Hero.” It’s about a little Scottish town. My wife is from Scotland. It’s a great little movie. But probably other than that, “Shawshank Redemption.” Number one, all-time favorite.
Q: Can you describe a typical Saturday for yourself?
A: For most of the year, I’m at either a track meet or a cross country meet all day. Other than that, if it’s in the fall, I’m probably hunting. And if I get the chance, in the fall, I’m watching college football.
