A letter to the future (post-pandemic) #44

Hello, future self,

I hope you are well and that you have been vaccinated. Although this harsh pandemic situation may soon come to an end, let me remind you that it was not so bad. I learned many valuable skills during this time, many of which you have already acquired, and some of which you may apply at some point in the future. Now that you have had this experience, I hope you will use it to your benefit. Who knows? It might even prepare you for a later date. I do not think that Zoom and Google Meets are going to go out of business after this. In fact, at this point, I would not think that you have many bad memories of your life during the pandemic. I just want you to know that you should not get used to this way of life. Remember when school was canceled on March 13th and I was completely shocked and disturbed to hear the news the day before, but that after some time, I was concerned about what a potential return to school would look like? That is why I want to write to you in the future, so that you are not all surprised when you have to start college, perhaps with in-class learning. Let it be normal again, and make sure to feel it that way. Let the virtual world get some rest for a while.
