Movie Review: Pirate Radio

Pirate Radio brilliantly depicts a fairly unknown story of rock and roll in the 1960s. The Count (Phillip Seymour Hoffman) is the initial leader of a group of DJs who broadcast rock and roll 24/7 live from the North Sea to escape the wrath of the parliment.

After many run-ins with the British government, Gavin (Rhys Ifans), the greatest British broadcaster ever, returns from America to add energy to an already dazzling cast of quirky DJs.

Each DJ is as lovable as the next; however, Nick Frost (Dave) steals the show. With music from The Who to the Rolling Stones, it’s easy to get lost in the classics. From the music, to the comedy, to the romance, Pirate Radio is a must see.
