Favorite Christmas Movies From The Pitch Staff

Cami Keyani, Staff Writer: “I really liked the original animated Grinch movie. The animation is murky, it’s super retro and all beige. It’s very cool. It’s the classic story of that outsider who can’t get involved with Christmas who reminds of my immigrant father. It’s a Christmas classic.”

Brendan Benge, Staff Writer: “A Christmas Story. It’s a wonderful story about a little kid trying to get a BB gun, which is what I tried to get. And the little brother reminds me of myself.”

Daniel Gorelik, Assistant Online Sports Editor: “Christmas with the Kranks. I like this movie because it’s a really good story, based on a John Grisham novel and it’s hilarious.”

Jessica Evans, Online Editorial Editor: “Elf. First of all, it takes place in New York City which is gorgeous at Christmastime. It stars Will Ferrell, who is the god of comedy, it’s light hearted and it’s just so funny. It captures the spirit of Christmas. You can’t go wrong watching it.”

Ryan Lynch, Assistant Print Editorial Editor: “My favorite Christmas movies are watching TV specials about Christmas, for example, a new Batman adventure.  During Christmas, it’s classic.”

Daniel Fanaroff, Online Sports Editor: “It’s a Wonderful Life. I don’t know, I just always feel good after.”

Ali Jawetz, Online News Editor: “The live action How the Grinch Stole Christmas. The Whos of Whoville teach you that Christmas is in your heart. Cindy LouWho was adorable.”

Ian Green, Online Arts & Entertainment Editor
Ian Green is the Online Entertainment Editor for the Online Pitch. Last year, he was the Online Editorial Editor. Ian Green is known for knowing way too much about movies, some even naming him the “Movie Trivia Savant of Our Times.” Nothing makes Ian happier then when he has just watched a great film. Ian is also obsessed with everything related to Washington, D.C. sports, unfortunately, but also with just sports, period. Ian is a good student who can be mischievous, the type of student who mixes in the learning with the laughter. Ian has a life outside of school, however. He lives on a hill with his Ma, his Pa, his Sis (currently attending college) and his cat, Mischa.
