UAB: Is trick-or-treating lame?

  • “I think it’s not [lame]. You get to have fun with your friends, plus my birthday is after so I get a lot of free candies.” –Michelle Munkh-Erdene, 9

  • “Absolutely not, I actually think it’s really cool because it gives people an opportunity to get free candy and also it brings your inner child out because high school is really hard, and you get to have fun for once.” –Sadie Morgenstern, 10

  • “No, I think it’s a fun activity for all ages. Trick-or-treating itself is cool, if you think it’s lame, that’s a personal issue.” –Torben Mucchetti, 11

  • “I think trick-or-treating is great because first of all, free candy and you know…you have this time to do it. So as a high schooler, go do it, don’t be a loser…be a trick-or-treater.” -Fiona Galang, 12

  • “I think it’s age dependent. So, the younger you are, the cooler it is.” –Economics teacher Ty Healey
