The Asian American Student Union celebrates the lunar new year

On+Wednesday%2C+Feb.8%2C+the+Asian+American+Student+Union+%28AASU%29+held+a+Lunar+New+Year+celebration+during+lunch+in+the+Student+Commons.+%E2%80%9CI+hope+that+%5Bthe+students%5D+learned+more+about+East+Asian+culture+and+Lunar+New+Year+because+I+think+that+Lunar+New+Year+isn%E2%80%99t+as+popular+in+America%2C+it%E2%80%99s+not+really+a+big+holiday+on+the+calendar+either.+So%2C+I+just+hope+they+learned+about+it+and+maybe+celebrate+themselves+if+they+want%2C%E2%80%9D+freshman+Anna+Jhon+said.

On Wednesday, Feb.8, the Asian American Student Union (AASU) held a Lunar New Year celebration during lunch in the Student Commons. “I hope that [the students] learned more about East Asian culture and Lunar New Year because I think that Lunar New Year isn’t as popular in America, it’s not really a big holiday on the calendar either. So, I just hope they learned about it and maybe celebrate themselves if they want,” freshman Anna Jhon said.
