Redskins QB RGIII continues to disappoint fans.

In what was to be a sure win last weekend against a dismal, 1-8 Tampa Bay Buccaneer team, the Washington Redskins only managed to score seven points in an embarrassing 27-7 defeat. Many tend to agree that star quarterback (QB) Robert Griffin III (RGIII) is entirely at fault for the Redskins dull performance. The Baylor sensation threw for 207 yards, threw 2 interceptions and ended with a passer rating of 73.3 out of 158.3.

To add on to the disappointment he caused, RGIII blatantly threw his teammates under the bus during the post-game press conference.

Griffin blurted out, “Great quarterbacks don’t play well if their guys don’t play well.”

Star receiver Desean Jackson took to social media immediately following the press conference to express his frustration. Jackson stated,  “You can’t (make plays) with basic people.”

Jackson’s remark was clearly aimed at RGIII, and accurately summed up the team’s relationship with their quarterback, which is clearly proving to be a difficult, messy one. Two years ago, these atrocious stats and uncanny remarks would have been considered a rarity for RGIII. But after two crippling injuries in the span of a year, including a torn ACL and a dislocated ankle, it’s hard not to argue that RGIII is not the aggressive and speedy QB that he once was. To add on to his misery, head coach Jay Gruden made the necessary decision to bench the struggling QB, putting his career as a Washington Redskin in jeopardy.
