Senior Ben Kim is excited to participate in his first year with the Pitch as the Senior Opinion Editor. In addition to writing for the Pitch, Ben also plays for the WJ basketball team and runs for the track & field team.

On June 29 the U.S. Supreme Court ruled against race-conscious admissions policies at Harvard and the University of North Carolina. This decision reversed years of precedent upheld by the Supreme Court in multiple decisions, such as in the University of California v. Bakke and Fisher v. University of Texas.
