Students demonstrate in national walkout

On March 14 at 10:00 AM, high schoolers across the nation walked out of their schools for 17 minutes in order to memorialize the victims of the Parkland shooting on its one month anniversary. Stories quickly emerged of single-person walkouts, counter-protests, and Bernie Sanders greeting MCPS students at the Capitol Building.
