Students exit WJ after school on Tuesday, Oct. 1. Exiting through the front door in the afternoon often involves waiting in a long line. “We got way too many kids here; it’s ridiculous,” freshman Veer Anand said.

Students begin a practice Kahoot for French class. Walter Johnson offers a total of six languages including American Sign Language, Chinese, Italian and more, giving students the opportunity to explore different languages and cultures. “I switched [from Spanish] to Latin freshman year and I love it,” junior Abigial Samuels said.

Students shouldn’t pay for exams they don’t take
The team completes a breathtaking stunt in a pyramid. The high-risk nature of Cheer is always something for the athletes to keep in mind. "Cheerleading is very, very, hard," head coach Vanessa Barnes said. It's one of the most dangerous sports. A lot of people don't know that because it's overlooked, but it is very difficult. Any minute, someone can be dropped from all the way up in the air. That's probably one of the things I would think people need to know about cheerleading."

Varsity cheer drills their routine on Tuesday, Sept. 24 to prepare for their Invitational at Long Reach High School on Oct. 9. The team has been working on sharpening their technique since the start of the season. “I would say everyone is striving to be better and to get what they have to get," Head Coach Vanessa Barnes said. "A lot of them are pushing themselves to get where they need to go."

Welcome to the strangest, most washed-up six minutes of 2010. It gives us the video that has been missing from our lives: a sing-along to the famous Beatles song, lip-synched by a copious amount of old celebrities from the 70’s, 80’s and 90’s who are all on a hilariously fake computerized beach behind a glistening body of water.

Ever wish for a video that shows Dolph Lundgren, the Russian boxer in Rocky IV, belting out a solo? Or maybe a little Steve Guttenberg? Perhaps some Lou Ferrigno? It’s all in here. It’s like The Surreal Life on VH1: a slightly depressing scene but still undeniably hilarious.
