30 things to do when bored in quarantine

Just because everyone is stuck inside, does not mean that you have to just sit at home and watch TV all day.  This quarantine is a perfect opportunity to take up a hobby or try something new.

Just because everyone is stuck inside, does not mean that you have to just sit at home and watch TV all day. This quarantine is a perfect opportunity to take up a hobby or try something new.

We are all living a new normal. In these hard times when we are confined to our homes, it is important to keep ourselves feeling busy and productive, but it can be troublesome to find activities to combat feelings of indifference and lack of interest. Here is a list of 30 things you can do when the quarantine boredom hits.

Keep a gratitude journal: write down three things you are grateful for each day.

Tie dye a shirt.

Similar to tie dyeing, bleach dye a shirt. Not only does bleach dyeing clothes give you a unique and fun result, but you most likely have bleach in your house already.

Send a letter.

Draw with chalk.

Paint.

Play card games.

Write down 10 places you want to go once quarantine is over.

Research possible majors or careers that you may be interested in pursuing in college.

Try an exercise video on youtube.

Tan in your backyard.

Deep clean your room.

Learn to do yoga.

Read outside (the weather has been great lately!).

Go for a walk.

Go online window shopping.

Take a bath.

Start a quarantine journal: We are living through a historical event. Write down how you are feeling and what’s happening around you.

Teach your pet a new trick.

Contact five friends that you may have lost touch with.

Write a short story.

Meditate.

Work on your baking skills.

Cook a meal for your family.

Get dressed up just to eat dinner in your house.

Watch a movie.

Binge a TV series.

Start an online business.

Call your grandparents.

Take a virtual college tour.
