  • In their final meeting, Film Club shares many fun and interesting last conversations. Throughout the year, Film Club has done many different, exciting things together. “My favorite thing we’ve done this year was probably our Oscars watch party. We all went to an officer’s house and had a huge party on the night of the Oscars. We got to come together and bond over something fun,” junior Mwape Sokoni said.

  • With members seated, juniors Angela Lynch, Marina Preslopsky and Kyrylo Pyliavets present their final slideshow of the year to their club. Ukrainian club started this year for WJ and already has had numerous amazing accomplishments including representing Ukraine at both international week and international night for WJ this year. “I think one of our biggest accomplishments was writing dozens of letters to Ukrainian refugees. I really enjoyed sharing our food and culture with our members and raising awareness for the war,” Lynch said.

  • With students in line, junior Hildi Altman passes out yearbooks that have been in progress all year. Yearbook finally gets the opportunity to display their hard work to the school of Walter Johnson. “My favorite part about being on yearbook was being able to design something that everyone in the school will see, and finally handing it out was so fun and so cool getting to hear everyone’s reactions to the pages they were on,” Altman said. • History club members sign each other’s yearbooks as a final goodbye for the year. History club is a great way to make friends within Walter Johnson and learn more at every meeting. “My favorite memory of history club is playing Family Feud, and I’ll definitely miss Defne the most. She was an amazing copresident and was so dedicated to the club,” junior Kristin Chen said.

  • South Asian Student Union gathers around a center table to share brownies for the last time this year. The club grew significantly in the past year. “Adding more members was my favorite accomplishment of this year. Last year we started the club and only had three members, so this year it’s good to see it expand so much in only the second year,” sophomore Meher Parsinni said.

  • In their last meeting of the year, Gilmore Girls club gathers around to watch their final episode of the beloved show, Gilmore Girls. The club is an amazing place to meet new friends and bond over a common love. “There are too many favorite memories to choose just one! But one of my favorite memories is the Thanksgiving party we had. Everyone brought baked goods, we ate pop tarts and watched the Gilmore girl’s Thanksgiving episode,” senior Rachael Wolfson said.
